epd-Gespräch: Dieter Sell
Bremen (epd). Das geplante Betreuungsgeld steht nach Auffassung der Bremer Vorschulexpertin Ilse Wehrmann für eine rückwärtsgewandte Arbeitsmarkt-, Familien- und Frauenpolitik. "Es sagt viel aus über den Stellenwert von Frauen in unserer Gesellschaft", kritisierte Wehrmann am Montag in einem Gespräch mit dem Evangelischen Pressedienst (epd). "Den Standpunkt, dass Frauen zu Hause bleiben sollen, haben wir offensichtlich immer noch nicht überwunden."

Bremen (epd). Ein eklatanter Mangel an Erzieherinnen und Erziehern bremst nach den Worten der Bremer Vorschulexpertin Ilse Wehrmann den Krippenausbau. "Nächstes Jahr werden rund 25.000 Stellen in deutschen Kindertagesstätten nicht besetzt sein", sagte Wehrmann am Donnerstag dem epd. Flächenländer seien besonders betroffen. Die ehemalige Vorsitzende der Bundesvereinigung Evangelischer Tageseinrichtungen für Kinder bezog sich mit ihren Zahlen auf eine Studie des Deutschen Jugendinstitutes (DJI) in München.

Baumhaus, Matschanlage und tierische Spielkameraden - schon im Sommer 2012 öffnet die Betriebskita des Modeunternehmes Gerry Weber International AG ihre Pforten. Bis 2014 sollen Betreuungsplätze für insgesamt 90 Kinder in sechs Gruppen geschaffen werden. 20 Prozent der Plätze sind für "Nichtmitarbeiterkinder" gesichert. Initiator und Modeunternehmer Gerhard Weber leistet mit der eigenen Kita einen großen Beitrag zum Thema "Vereinbarkeit von Familie und Beruf" und erntet hierfür ein großes Lob von Dr. Ilse Wehrmann: "Sie haben diese besondere Kindertagesstätte zur Chefsache gemacht. Das rührt mich total."

Auch die Firma Gerry Weber mit Hauptsitz in Halle (Westfalen) baut eine eigene betriebsnahe Kindertagesstätte auf. In sechs Gruppen sollen 80 bis 90 Kinder betreut werden. Auf der vom Landschaftsverband Rheinland (LVR) initiierten Fachtagung "Fachschulen im Dialog mit der Praxis" am 23.11.2011 in Köln referierte Dr. Ilse Wehrmann über die gesteigerten Anforderungen an das pädagogische Personal, die Kooperationsmöglichkeiten von Praxisstätten und Fachschulen und das Aufgabengebiet der Fachberatung.

Der lahmende Ausbau der Kinderkrippen könnte nach Auffassung der Bremer Vorschulexpertin Ilse Wehrmann durch private Konkurrenz an Schwung gewinnen. «Der Markt muss mehr als bisher für privat-gewerbliche Anbieter geöffnet werden», forderte Wehrmann in einem epd-Gespräch. Im Gegensatz zu kommunalen Trägern und Kitas der Wohlfahrtsverbände müssten Gewerbliche jedoch derzeit einen höheren Anteil der Betriebskosten schultern. Das verzerre den Wettbewerb und müsse angeglichen werden.

Pre-school expert cautions against abridged educational program for early child educators - (EPD interview)
BREMEN (EPD). The Bremen pre-school ecudation expert Ilse Wehrmann criticized the plans of federal family minister Kristina Schröder (CDU) to requalify unemployed men as pre-school teachers for child day care centers in a two-year program. In an interview with EPD on friday, Wehrmann objected: "While it is correct that more men are urgently needed in child care services, a quick two-year program is not the correct approach - that would put an end to professionalism."
